Each year, football fans anxiously await the Super Bowl. Friends and family, young and old gather around the TV to watch the biggest game in football. Of course, not everyone has the same agenda for watching the game.

Some watch for the commercials; fans actually watch the game itself; and still others watch just for the sake of being around friends and family. Whatever your reason for watching the Super Bowl, the night is always full of anticipation and drama.

This year is no exception. Given that the two opposing teams are coached by brothers, well, that sure poses an interesting twist.

In Super Bowl XLVII, head coach Jim Harbaugh of the San Francisco 49ers and head coach John Harbaugh of the Baltimore Ravens will face off in what is truly going to be one of the most exciting Super Bowls yet.

But these two brothers are no strangers to meeting one another out on the field. Go back to Thanksgiving day in 2011 when the Harbaugh brothers played one another for the first time since both men started their careers as NFL coaches.

Unfortunately for little brother John Harbaugh, the odds were not in favor of the 49ers that day, as the Ravens claimed the victory with a score of 16-6.

Each team has come a long way from two years ago, changing lineups and tactics to make their team better.

As the fateful day approaches, sportscasters and fans alike are making predictions of who will win.

Of course, one can evaluate team statistics, key players on each team, and coaching styles to try to determine the winner, but I think that everyone knows that it is impossible to know. All of that guessing gets thrown out the window as people sit down to watch the game unfold.

So here’s the big question: Will Super Bowl XLVII end the same way as Thanksgiving day 2011?

The only way to know is to tune in to the family showdown Sunday, Feb. 3 for what is sure to be an eventful game.
